Welcome

Welcome to History 346/Gender 380, Women in America: The Western Experience.  I’m so glad you decided to join us!

Aside from your assignment and course grades, you should find everything you need for the course here on this website: the syllabus, class handouts, assignment instructions, technology tips, and more.  If there’s a missing resource that you think should here, please contact me at lesliemadsen-brooks -at- boisestate -dot- edu.

Best,

Leslie Madsen-Brooks

  1. Susie Depew says:

I think the clothing exhibit comes closest to “best practice” in online exhibitions because it was fairly simple to navigate and I was able to view the pictures of the items, read about them easily, and move about to the different topics. I wanted to spend more time than I had on the site and really study the objects. It was not overwhelming, but it made me want to see more about these items and made me appreciate being able to learn about them.

I would have liked to be able to see more pictures to go along with the text, or to be able to click on more pictures, so I think we need to make our exhibit so that people can research the items further if they want.

I am sorry I did not get this sent during class on Tuesday. I had such a head cold that I probably should not have even gone to class, because my brain was not able to function. After class, I went home, took some cold medicine and slept for the next day & a half!
